8U


Decatur County Soccer Club’s 8U division is a 6-8 game program (depending on season) that is coached by parents and volunteers.
The 8U age group is coed.



Format:
● 10 minute quarters
● All games are 7v7 – 6 field players and one keeper
● No offsides – all fouls are indirect free kicks
● Penalty and Goal area – goal kicks by defense can be taken from anywhere in or on the Goal area.
● Keeper can use hands only in the Penalty area, and CAN pick up a ball passed by teammates, whether kicked or thrown in.



A uniform consisting of a jersey is included in the registration fee and will be handed out prior to the first game.  Players will need to wear cleats, shin guards, and their uniform to games. Players should bring a ball and water to all sessions.
